Marie Atake Profile Marie is the founder and president of Forte Animal Rescue, an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Her pro-bono work also includes serving as a Commissioner from 2005 to 2007 on the Board of Animal Services Commission, for the City of Los Angeles, appointed by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. Following her service to the city, Marie and her charity were each awarded a Certificate of Recognition by Los Angeles City Council. While majoring in Electronics Engineering in Tokyo, she came to fame as a professional jazz singer. After voyaging to the United States, she climbed the corporate ladder as a senior executive in communications, marketing and business development. Her successful career includes consulting to leading corporations in the multimedia, consumer electronics and entertainment industries in Japan, Europe and North America. Truth, compassion and discipline are the principles Marie embraces. She brings with her a deep understanding of life in a hectic world where technology and business rule. Marie dedicates her life to making the world a better place with the unique sense of balance she learns from caring for animals. |
